Amazon’s Prime Day sale has been going on this week and though it is largely an overwhelming tidal wave of deals – often not as good as they look – there are some genuine bargains, including the latest Google Pixel devices.
I’ve been covering the Tech Advisor Prime Day live blog, and overall, the deals on tech are pretty good if you spend long enough weeding them out. They really are like digital truffles surrounded by dirt, but we know how to find and verify them, having covered every Prime Day sale over the years.
While Amazon has once again thrown deals at Prime members, which are often the normal price or have had a quick price bump ahead of the sale to make the reduction look attractive, the prices on Google Pixel hardware are authentically very good.
Most are the lowest prices ever seen on Amazon, and some are the lowest prices anywhere since they hit the market.
If you are looking for a new Pixel phone, tablet or smartwatch, then now is a good time. The Pixel 10 series and Pixel Watch 4 aren’t far away, but they won’t offer this kind of value for money and I’m not convinced the Pixel 9 prices will be any better than this once they are previous gen. Plus, Google’s long software support promise means you’re not buying tech that will be a dud in a couple of years.
Some might be limited to a certain colour, but on the whole, there are discounts on all colourways and storage capacities.
