In the UK, there are a few ways to get Disney+ for free, but they usually involve bundling it in as an add-on for phone or broadband contracts.
However, we’ve found a way to get it without paying a penny, though there are some caveats to be aware of.
If you’re happy to change your current account, then Lloyds Bank offers a year of the Disney+ Standard with Ads plan as a Lifestyle Benefit via its Club Lloyds membership.
While the title ‘membership’ may ring alarm bells, if you pay £2,000 or more into this account every month, it won’t cost you anything. So, if you set it as your main account for your work’s pay cheque (and have a monthly income of over this amount), then you won’t pay anything.
Better yet, your Lifestyle Benefit renews every year, and Lloyds states on its FAQ page that it will allow you to renew this subscription at no extra cost after 12 months – so in theory, you could have free Disney+ until this offer is revoked, or switch to another Lifestyle Benefit.
With a Club Lloyds membership, you can use your debit card abroad and are eligible for other offers via the bank.
Disney+ grants you access to the latest seasons of Welcome to Wrexham, Andor, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, plus plenty of other shows and films such as The Simpsons, MCU blockbusters and The Bear.
If you can’t commit to paying 2K a month into your account, then Club Lloyds costs £5 per month. For reference, the Disney+ plan you get costs £4.99 per month if you just paid for it outright, so Club Lloyds probably isn’t the right option for you.
This also isn’t the right benefit if you want an ad-free or Premium subscription of Disney+, as Lloyds doesn’t allow you to upgrade your membership.
Besides 12 months of Disney+, other Lifestyle Benefits include up to six free cinema tickets via Odeon or Vue, a year’s subscription to Good Housekeeping or Country Walking magazine or an annual Coffee Club and Gourmet Society membership which gives you big discounts on coffee and meals at a range of chains such as Caffè Nero and Pizza Express.
