EE is offering a new Tech Drops initiative that could secure you huge savings on the latest smartphones and headphones – if you’re quick enough.
Each month, the EE Tech Store will be offering a huge discount on a specific tech item. There’ll only be a limited amount of stock, however, and EE will sell them on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first product to be offered through the EE Tech Drop initiative will be the Beats Studio Pro. On 17 April, these premium headphones will sell for just £149 while stocks last. That’s less than half the usual £349.99 asking price.
How to claim EE Tech Drops
You don’t even need to be an EE customer to take advantage of these new EE Tech Drop discounts, though you will need to install the EE app.
There will be a competitive advantage for select existing EE mobile and broadband customers, however, who will be alerted up to a day in advance of each drop.
If you’re in the market for a decent set of headphones that work well with both iOS and Android, this could be a deal that’s worth signing up on the EE app. Allow us to explain why.

This EE deal is hard to Beat(s)
We reviewed the Beats Studio Pro at the time of launch, and found them to be a well-priced alternative to Apple’s own AirPods Max.
The Beats brand, of course, is owned by Apple, which means that it’s the only brand to receive the same kind of tight support for iPhones. Despite that, they have the distinction of supporting Android as well as iOS, with support for both Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find My Device networks.
They also support Spatial Audio tracks on Apple Music and support head tracking in apps such as Apple TV+ and Netflix. There’s even a useful feature that lets you play lossless files when connected to an audio device via USB-C.
More generally, we found the Beats Studio Pro to exhibit solid audio quality without the excessive bass that plagued early Beats headphones. Throw in decent noise cancellation, and you have yourself a highly desirable set of cans, especially for the low price of £149.
