Motorola looks set to unveil two major new handsets tonight in the Motorola Signature and Razr Fold, but a bunch of details about both have already leaked.
Leading with the flagship Motorola Signature, no sooner had Motorola tipped that a launch is coming at CES tonight (watch the event live here), than arch tipster Evan Blass (aka Evleaks) has posted what appears to be official press images of the device.
We also get confirmation of the phone’s specs, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 12 or 16GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB RAM, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The tipster also posted an official list of talking points for the phone, potentially from a presentation.
The Motorola Signature is here referred to as “the brand’s most sophisticated smartphone ever,” with “an ultra-thin design that still packs in a long-lasting battery, four 50MP cameras with three Sony LYTIA camera sensors and next-generation Al performance.”
Intriguingly, the talking points also mention “on-demand, white-glove assistance and up to seven years of Android OS and security upgrades.” Sounds fancy.
Motorola Razr Fold
In the very same post as that Motorola Signature outline, Evleaks included a similar treatment for the Motorola Razr Fold – predicted to be the company’s first full-sized or book-style foldable.
It seems that the Razr Fold will merely be previewed at tonight’s event, with a full launch happening later in the year. As Blass notes, this is a sound way to head off the inevitable leaks (many provided by him) that precede the launch of a major new product.
We also learn that “The razr fold will offer brilliant displays, intelligent AI, and an advanced, boundary-breaking camera system, setting a new standard for what’s
possible in a foldable device.”
In a separate post, Evleaks also reveals a potential US starting price of $1,500. If true, it’d significantly undercut both Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (from $1,999) and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold (from $1,799).
Expect to hear plenty more about this one in the coming months.
The two phones are expected to be joined by a new smartwatch in the MotoWatch, a SoundFlow Bluetooth speaker and second-gen Moto Tag trackers. And that’s before you even get to the range of Lenovo devices that are likely to be unveiled.
