Roku has officially made it clear that it’s never too early for a cheeky streaming discount.
If you’re in the market for a new streaming stick to access all your favourite entertainment apps such as Netflix, Disney+ and BBC iPlayer (and you’re based in the UK), then right now you can bag some great savings on three models from Roku – two of which only just hit shelves this summer for the first time.
The biggest saving is on the Roku Streaming Stick Plus, which I recently awarded an impressive 4 out of 5 stars. This has been knocked down to just £29.99, ten pounds less than its usual price of £39.99. You can buy it from Amazon, Argos, Currys, Very and AO.
If you want 4K streaming for less, this is the stick for you. Like all other Roku media devices, it features a user-friendly interface, a handy and accessible remote with voice controls (along with a power button and volume toggles that can sync with your TV), and a wide range of apps and games to peruse.
One key thing it’s missing is Dolby Vision support, which will only matter if you buy or own films with this format, or are subscribed to the most premium tiers of streaming subscriptions. If that’s you, and you want the best quality picture possible, then you can also bag a fiver off the Roku Streaming Stick 4K – which is now £44.99 rather than the standard price of £49.99 – although I have seen cheaper prices during sale seasons.

This is Tech Advisor’s second-ranked streaming stick overall, with 4.5 stars out of 5. You can take advantage of this discount from stores such as Amazon, Argos, Currys and Very.
Finally, there’s the Roku Streaming Stick, a HD option. So, no 4K support – but it is the most affordable of the three, and particularly useful if all your streaming subscriptions are on the standard or basic tiers where UHD content is locked behind a paywall.
This may be the most suitable device for students heading back to school for the upcoming university year, as it costs just £24.99 rather than its £29.99 RRP. Again, you can bag one from Amazon, Argos, Currys, Very and AO.
These discounts are available from today and last until 28 August 2025, so make sure you don’t miss out. We’ve asked Roku for comment on if a similar deal is available in the US.
