In summary
- Galaxy S24 selling for £389
- Less than half its launch price
- Remains a very good compact phone
You can now pick the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone up for half its launch price.
EE is selling the Samsung Galaxy S24 for £389 SIM-free right now. That’s a £310 saving on its current selling price of £699.
Or, if you rewind to before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25, this is a £410 saving on its £799 RRP.
Blast from the past
Whichever way you cut it, this is a massive saving on a still-brilliant phone.
We called the Galaxy S24 “the easiest compact phone to recommend” at the time of our review in early 2024. It might surprise you to learn that we largely stand by that statement, even with the subsequent launch of the Galaxy S25.
The reason for this is that the Samsung Galaxy S25 adds very little to the equation, bar a slightly faster processor. In our review, we pointed out that “The Samsung Galaxy S25 offers the bare minimum in hardware upgrades” – a sure sign that the Galaxy S24 remains a brilliant purchase.
That’s especially so with Samsung’s seven-year support promise. We might be nearly two years into the period right now, but that still leaves a good five years of Android and security updates.

Still lots to like
The Galaxy S24 offers a lot to like, especially if you like your phones small and light. Forget all those skinny phones – none of them are as unassuming as this.
You also get Samsung’s powerful AI features, ample performance, and a solid set of three cameras.
It’s aged very little since launch, to the point where buying a brand new handset makes a lot of sense – especially at just £389.
