If you’re looking for a new Android tablet, you may be put off by the high prices of Samsung’s flagship Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra.
Fortunately, there are plenty of great budget tablets, with the Galaxy Tab A9+ one of the very best. It retains many core features from Samsung’s premium tablets, yet reduces the starting price to £239/$219.99.
However, you can do much better than that this Prime Day. In the UK, Amazon has dropped the price of the 64GB model to just £135 – the lowest price we’ve ever seen, even beating Black Friday’s deal by some way.
If you need more storage, the 128GB version is £145, a huge 39% discount.
The deals are just as good in the US. The 64GB model is currently available for $132.99 instead of $219.99.
Meanwhile, the 128GB version will currently cost you $189.99 instead of $269.99, which is 30% off.
However, you don’t have long to secure it at this price. All of these deals are part of Amazon Prime Day, which is only available until Friday. You’ll need to be a Prime member to get these prices, though Amazon does offer a 30-day free trial.
Stock may sell out before then, so if you’re interested, we’d encourage you to take advantage while you still can. You can also read up on whether Prime Day is worth it.
As much as we liked the device in our full Galaxy Tab A9+ review, you might be wondering: why is it behind the regular Galaxy Tab A9 in our best budget tablets guide?

Basically, that comes down to availability and regular pricing. The regular Tab A9 isn’t available in the US, but the A9+ is a worthy alternative. The extra you have to pay in the UK and other markets usually isn’t worth it for most people, though these hefty discounts make it a much better option.
Unless you need top-tier performance from a tablet, the Galaxy Tab A9+ will do everything you need it to and more. In our 8/10 review, we praised its everyday performance, design, audio and user-friendly software, especially with security updates continuing until October 2027.
