In summary:
- Tech Advisor reports that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12+ is unexpectedly making a comeback after being absent from the S11 series, potentially launching in September.
- The tablet is expected to feature a 12.4-inch OLED QHD+ 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ processor, 12GB RAM, and a larger 10,500mAh battery.
- This reintroduction suggests Samsung is shifting its tablet strategy to offer more premium options alongside the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S+ range isn’t done and dusted after all, judging from a fresh leak.
When the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 (pictured here) rolled up late last year, it seemed as if Samsung had changed its tablet tack. Unlike the previous year, there was no larger Plus model.
We thought the Korean tech giant had settled on a line-up of regular and Ultra models, which made sense.
Now, however, a fresh tip from SamMobile suggests that Samsung is set on a course of alternating between regular and Plus variants, with the only constant being a premium Ultra model.
The report claims that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ will launch later this year – September is likely – alongside the expected Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
Whether the series will have all three models remains to be seen, but it feels unlikely.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ predicted specs
Expect a battery capacity of around 10,500mAh, which would be about 4 or 5% larger than the previous Plus tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+, if accurate.
We should also be looking at a 12.4-inch OLED screen with a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to the report. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ processor is rumoured to be providing the power, along with at least 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage (with expansion potential via microSD).
As the report mentions, common Galaxy Tab S features include quad speakers, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, 45W wired charging, and a bundled S Pen stylus. While it doesn’t sound as if these specifications are as nailed on as that battery, it would be a surprise if they were missing from the Galaxy Tab S12+.
There’s no information on the Galaxy Tab S12+’s camera provision, but who really cares about such things in a full-sized tablet? No one we want to know, that’s for sure.
