Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE foldable phone has seemingly leaked online, and I think it’s shaping up to be a little on the expensive side.
Yesterday we brought you the news that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 would be receiving a €100 price hike over the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
At the time, I speculated that Samsung might be looking to take the sting out of this price bump through the rumoured introduction of a cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model.
Now the pricing for the latter has leaked in similar fashion, through online retail listings (via SammyGuru), and I’m not sure it’s quite enough.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE rumoured pricing
According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE pricing will start from around £887 for the 128GB model, moving up to £949 for 256GB.
Given that the regular Flip was selling for £999 as recently as mid-2023, towards the end of the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s reign, this doesn’t seem like such outstanding value.
Yes, things have gotten a lot more expensive, and yes, this would still mark a saving of hundreds of pounds over the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7 model.

But then you need to consider those reports that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is essentially going to be a rebadged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, with an inferior Exynos 2400 processor. You’d arguably be better off finding a deal on the Flip 6.
It shouldn’t be too hard to find such a thing, either. At the time of writing, the 256GB model of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was selling brand new on Amazon for £899.
Also consider the approach that Motorola has taken with the Razr 60 – the cheaper flip phone in the range that sells for just £800.
It remains to be seen what Samsung will be officially charging for its new flip phone series, as well as what exactly you’ll be getting in return. But at this early point, the Flip 7 FE isn’t looking like such great value.
