In summary:
- Tech Advisor reports that the Google Pixel 10a may disappoint budget-conscious buyers, with pricing expected to match the Pixel 9a at €549 for 128GB and €649 for 256GB.
- Despite earlier rumors suggesting a price drop, new information indicates the device will maintain current pricing due to industry-wide trends of increasing phone costs.
- The Pixel 10a is expected to launch February 18 with four color options and earlier availability than its predecessor.
The Google Pixel 10a might not be quite as cheap as many were hoping.
Last week we reported on claims that the Google Pixel 10a would launch at a price of €500, which would make it €50 cheaper than the Google Pixel 9a if true.
Now French website Dealabs has issued its own report on Google’s launch plans for its next mid-range smartphone. It seems the phone will follow exactly the same pricing model as its predecessor, which means €549 for the 128GB model and €649 for 256GB.
Reputable industry figures have been warning that phones are going to get more expensive over the coming 12 months, if anything, so a Pixel 10a price cut always seemed a little fanciful – even if its specs are rumoured to be nigh-on identical to the Pixel 9a.

Pixel 10a release date
Another rumour we’ve been hearing of late is that the Google Pixel 10a will be announced a little earlier than its predecessor.
This latest report appears to lend credence to those claims, which would mean that it’s going to hit the market a good month earlier than the Google Pixel 9a.
If these rumours are to be believed, then the Pixel 10a will be unveiled on 18 February, with availability set for 5 March.
By way of a comparison, the Pixel 9a was announced on 19 March 2025, and hit shops on 10 April.
The report also confirms previous reports that the Pixel 10 a will be shipping in four colours: Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, and Berry.
